Oscar Fashion Last Night Dress

Thank God for Oscar fashion because the awards themselves dragged... on... forever. And on last night's red carpet? Lots of, well, red. Heidi Klum, Miley Cyrus, Katherine Heigl, Anne Hathaway, Ruby Dee, and Helen Mirren were just some of the women who matched their gowns to the carpet they were posing on. But the absolute best looks were seen on the women who opted for something a little less traditional: Like Marion Cotillard's fish-scale mermaid gown by Jean-Paul Gaultier. Cotillard looked radiant, palpitating with natural beauty and joie de vivre. Also gorgeous? Cate Blanchett, pregnant in purple Dries Van Noten, and Amy Adams, sultry in deep green Proenza Schouler. Those who swung and missed? Diablo Cody, Cameron Diaz and Renee Zellweger. And Lord have mercy on Sarah "I'm Dating George Clooney" Lawson: Her ugly-ass table-cloth dress was the worst of the worst in my book. You can take the girl out of Fear Factor, but you can't take the Fear Factor out of the girl. Photo galleries of the Good, Bad, and Ugly of Oscar style, after the jump.

Cristiano Ronaldo Shirts

Cristiano Ronaldo made his official presentation at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium to 80 thousand screaming, Cristiano Ronaldo crazed fans. Wearing his new number 9 Jersey, Cristiano Ronaldo closed a chapter on his controversial time in the U.K. It had become apparent in the last couple of years that Cristiano Ronaldo was no longer satisfied with football in the U.K., preferring instead a more beautiful and technical football in Spain. Cristiano Ronaldo is now living a childhood dream, one which has taken him to Manchester, under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson, but even Ferguson could not convince Ronaldo to leave Manchester and a country that could not respect the Portuguese Winger.

The Spanish Liga is now lucky to have a player that is not just a force on the pitch, but one who is a superstar off the pitch too. The Premier League will be worse off without Cristiano Ronaldo, but what’s bad for the U.K. is good for Spain.

We wish Cristiano Ronaldo all the best in Madrid and we hope that he is given more respect than he’s received in the U.K.

Sports Fashion Pictures 2010

When people think of fashion, their mind usually jumps to places like New York, Los Angeles, Milan, Paris, and Tokyo. These are the places where wacky ideas and unorthodox clothing are combined and placed upon models who usually don't reflect the image of mass society.

When people try to combine fashion and Wisconsin, the consensus usually involves work boots, flannel, overalls, and Wrangler Jeans. To be blunt, it's not at the forefront of the fashion world. And we don't try to be; Wisconsinites are assumed to have well known for their taste in the more practical and sensible. I know I'm a Midwesterner when it comes to fashion. My wardrobe consists of three pairs of jeans (two nicer ones, one with holes and such), a bunch of athletic shorts, some khaki pants, and a whole bunch of football and basketball t-shirts from high school and college. Clearly, fashion is not my thing.

But it turns out that fashion is important to some of Wisconsin's highest-profile citizens: our sports stars.
